Located in Yalıkavak, Sefte Bahçe has become one of the most beloved breakfast spots in recent years. If you’re looking for a peaceful and spacious place away from the crowds, this is the perfect spot for you.

This cozy place offers a breathtaking view over Yalıkavak. However, getting there on foot can be a challenge as it involves a steep uphill walk. The best option is to drive, as it only takes five minutes from Yalıkavak center. If you’re coming by taxi, just tell the driver you’re heading to Sefte Bahçe—every taxi driver in town knows the place!

Sefte Bahçe is a small, family-run business where everyone working there is part of the same family. Their roots trace back to Kosovo, which is why you’ll find some unique Kosovan touches in their breakfast.

The setting is beautifully integrated with nature, with plenty of space between the tables to ensure a relaxed experience. There are also four private booths, but if you want to sit in one, you must make a reservation in advance. These booths are the most popular choice among guests as they offer better views and a covered seating area.

Hospitality and cleanliness are among the restaurant’s top priorities. The warm welcome you receive as soon as you walk in will immediately make you feel at home. In fact, it feels less like visiting a café and more like being invited to breakfast at your mother’s house! Fehmiye Anne, the heart of the place, greets everyone with her warmth and kindness, giving the whole experience a special energy.

Sefte Bahçe is open only during the summer season, but during our chat, they mentioned plans to stay open year-round in the future. The restaurant opens at 9:00 AM and serves breakfast until 4:00 PM. We highly recommend making a reservation before you go!

What’s Included in Sefte Bahçe’s Signature Breakfast?

Three types of cheese from the Thrace region

Four types of homemade jam, varying by season

Kosovan dried meat, specially imported

Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from their own garden

Olives, honey, butter, and cream

Lokum (a small fried dough similar to “pişi,” called “lokum” in Kosovo)

Two types of börek (one with spinach and herbs, the other with pumpkin)

Eggs (fried or boiled)

Crispy fries

Cold dishes are served first, followed by warm dishes like börek, lokum, and homemade fries. Their fries are crispy, fresh, and light.

Even though the jams change seasonally, you can expect to find blackberry jam, rosehip marmalade, pumpkin jam, and mandarin jam among the available flavors.

You can also order extras like:

Menemen

Pan-fried Kosovan sausage

Eggs with sausage

Dried meat sausage

Eritme (a special melted cheese dish made from five different types of cheese, similar to Trabzon’s mıhlama but with its own unique twist)

French toast

Akıtma (a thin pancake served with chocolate, honey, and hazelnuts)

Pancakes

If you’re looking for something special, Fehmiye Anne’s Eritme is a must-try!

Love this place !! The ambiance is incredible, you are feeling that you just arrived at your family garden for a brunch. Everyone was so welcoming that we just felt home with my friend. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we even had the chance to have one of the chef (the mother) for few minutes to explain us all the story of their origins. I will definitely come again with pleasure and recommend this place to anyone. The place is also super cosy and with a really great view, super quiet...
